Serving as the State Representative for House District 30 has been a fascinating adventure, and one of the most demanding experiences of my life. The 2019 Legislative Session was the second most productive in New Mexico history, and we have much to be proud of. Together we made critical investments in our schools, raised the minimum wage, launched our transition to a clean energy future, and much more. I was especially proud to co-sponsor legislation to address New Mexico’s teacher shortage and nearly double the Working Families Tax Credit, two issues I heard about often from our friends and neighbors.
Still, we all know there is more work to be done in the next session and beyond. So I am excited to officially declare my intention to run for re-election in 2020.
Here are some of my priorities for my second term:
· Make the capital outlay process transparent
· Increase early childhood education funding
· Increase distributions from the Law Enforcement Protection Fund
· Protect New Mexicans from gun violence and pass the Red Flag Law
But as always, I cannot do this—we cannot do this—without time and financial support. My husband and I are ready to begin. Soon you will see us knocking on doors in our District. Will you join us? Click this link to support our campaign: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/n4nm2020#
