From Natalie:
Our State Senator, Bill Tallman, has decided not to run for reelection in 2024. I thank the Senator for his outstanding service to our District, and for endorsing my decision to run for his seat. I stand ready to serve our community in a new role, with your support and your vote.
To my new Senate District 18 friends and neighbors. I am busy door-knocking the district trying to meet as many of you as possible, in person, to hear directly about your concerns and thoughts. I have served as State Rep for some of you since 2018. For the rest of you, I hope you will take a look at my record, my issues, my endorsements, and my decisions that are laid out on this website. I am proud of my record as a State Representative and of the legislation I have championed, including—
Broadband access
Independent redistricting committee
Updated licensure requirements in New Mexico, including teacher licensure
Updating criminal codes to more effectively fight crime
I will continue to fight for the many other issues that are important to all of us if I am elected to serve you in the Senate. Among them are:
Improve education outcomes in New Mexico and continue to strengthen early childhood development
Prioritize public safety with access to behavioral health care and sensible gun safety legislation
Safeguard democracy with a truly independent redistricting commission, open primaries, and voter access
Modernize the New Mexico legislature
