From Natalie:

Our State Senator, Bill Tallman, has decided not to run for reelection in 2024. I thank the Senator for his outstanding service to our District, and for endorsing my decision to run for his seat. I stand ready to serve our community in a new role, with your support and your vote.

To my new Senate District 18 friends and neighbors. I am busy door-knocking the district trying to meet as many of you as possible, in person, to hear directly about your concerns and thoughts. I have served as State Rep for some of you since 2018. For the rest of you, I hope you will take a look at my record, my issues, my endorsements, and my decisions that are laid out on this website. I am proud of my record as a State Representative and of the legislation I have championed, including—

  • Broadband access

  • Independent redistricting committee

  • Updated licensure requirements in New Mexico, including teacher licensure

  • Updating criminal codes to more effectively fight crime

I will continue to fight for the many other issues that are important to all of us if I am elected to serve you in the Senate. Among them are:

  • Improve education outcomes in New Mexico and continue to strengthen early childhood development

  • Prioritize public safety with access to behavioral health care and sensible gun safety legislation

  • Safeguard democracy with a truly independent redistricting commission, open primaries, and voter access

  • Modernize the New Mexico legislature

To all my friends and neighbors in House District 30. Serving as your State Representative for House District 30 has been one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my life. I can’t thank you enough for all the support you have given me.

As your Senator, even if I do not represent you directly, I can more effectively fight for the issues and concerns that I know you care about. As always, the road will not be easy. But I stand ready to work hard, and as always, I ask for your support.

Thank you!

Sincerely,
